This year was so rainy and cold that I wasn't that jazzed about going to watch the fireworks. But the kids were absolutely set on going, so off we went. We found out about this most awesome place to go. It is a country club and they have pony rides, jumpy things to play on, and cotton candy before the show. Then you can sit on the lawn and watch the fireworks. The most exciting thing about going this year was that My Uncle Jim and Aunt Laurie were visiting, so they came with us! The kids just love them! The boys just follow Jim around- they idolize them. It's the Aunt who took us all around California, and the Uncle that started up their knife and sword collection. I think the kids talked their ears right off! Jim showed them the website where he finds the deals on the knives, and so now the boys are dreaming about what they will purchase with their money. The last I heard, Brody was saving for a certain axe. He plans to hang it on his wall. Then if a robber ever comes into our house he can chop him down! Good plan Brody! Anyway, it was lots of fun visiting with Jim and Laurie and it means a lot to have you travel all this way! We love you!! The last picture is of my Dad. He had his coat zipped way up because it was so cold! Thank you Mom and Dad for always doing fun things with us! We love you!

Swimming at Jones'
We had such a great 4th! After the breakfast we got invited to our friend's house to swim! It was a blast! We had so much fun swimming and visiting! The kids didn't even mind that it was cold outside! They were having so much fun that we could barely get them out of the pool when it was time to go! Thank you Jones'- it was awesome!

4th of July Ward Breakfast
Every 4th of July our ward has a breakfast at a park. They are always fun and the kids love being with their buddies. After breakfast the kids played games, shot water rockets, and played basketball. It was a great start to the day!

Visit from the Gibsons
The Gibson's came to visit us! It was great! It's always too short, and goes too fast, but we'll take whatever we can get! We had so much fun talking, eating and watching the kids play! Our boys do not quite understand how lucky they are to be around such beautiful girls! They all get along, but one day...they are really going to thank us for having best friends with such gorgeous, talented girls! Here they are at a park with a petting zoo, and later you see the younger girls watching movies with Charli. She was in heaven to have so much "girl" attention! We were all sad to see them go! We love you guys!

Brody's Cub Day Camp
It was so great to spend a day with Brody at his Cub day camp! We did all kinds of fun things! The boys launched water rockets, we went on a hike, we listened to a naturalist, we played volleyball, we made catapults and animal track plaster neckerchief slides, and their den got to do the closing flag ceremonies. I loved spending time with Brody and his buddies! It made me feel so good too, because he wanted me to walk by him and be right next to him all day! He'd let me hug him and even hold his hand! It made me feel so good! The scouts had a great day, and Brody made my day by asking if I could come back on the other days. I told him that I couldn't, but that I loved spending the day with him. He said, "Mom, you've got to come...it's no fun without you!" Now I know that he had fun without me, but it was just the best thing to hear!!

Our Anniversary
We had quite a unique anniversary this year. We celebrated our 13 years of marriage by going to the the MoTabs in concert. It was awesome! Of course they gave an amazing concert, but my favorite part of the show happened in the beginning. They announced that they had some special guests in the audience. They introduced a couple of Governors and Congressmen. Then, they said that they had a surprise guest. He then introduced President Monson! Everyone shot to their feet and gave Him a standing ovation! It was so awesome. He waved to everyone and was sitting on the front row with a couple of body guards in front of him, so it was really easy to spot him for the rest of the night!! Everyone clapped for the government officials, but the you could just feel every one's love for President Monson as we stood! Another treat was that we got to see Alicia's mom before the concert! She is in the Orchestra at Temple Square, and we were worried we might not catch her, but we literally bumped right into her. So that was also really fun! I can't believe that it's been 13 years. The time has gone so fast! I can hardly remember what my life was like without Travis. Thank you Travis for all you do for me! I love you!
