Isaac and Brody Switch Places

When we left the reunion, we took Isaac back with us, and Brody stayed with Josh! It was so much fun! The boys had such a great time together. We swam at Grandma's most days, TJ had his tennis tournament, we made marshmallow shooters, we went to a movie, they went to scouts together, we went to Pirate's Cove, and they had lots of air soft gun wars! We really missed Brody, but we sure had a hard time letting Isaac go! He is such a sweetheart! He was such a peacemaker, he made sure that Trey was included all the time, was so easy going, was so considerate and polite and I could just go on and on! Another huge bonus was that a little of Isaac rubbed off on TJ! I don't know how exactly this happened, but after Isaac left, TJ was so much nicer to his siblings and just a much happier kid! Thank you Isaac! How this all came about, was that TJ and Isaac talked on the phone and planned a summer visit together for about a year. Kristy and I didn't know exactly how we could make this happen, but when some dates for another reunion go changed, we realized that we really could do this! So after the Hall reunion we took Isaac home with us for a little over a week, and then we drove back to Utah for our LeDuc reunion and picked Brody up. It was so much fun, and the kids want to make it a summer tradition. We also would love to figure out a way to get all of my older nephews here!

FHE in the Canyon

Allyson and Reed suggested that we have FHE in the canyon. We brought foil dinners, Reed cooked them all, Allyson brought crafts, Grandpa cooked a Dutch oven cake, and the kids had a great time getting wet and muddy! They just can't help themselves around water! It was a perfect ending to a perfect reunion! Thank you everyone for all of your work, meals and entertainment! What awesome memories!

Dinner and Talent Show at the Park

The last official night at the reunion we had dinner and a Talent show at the park. Kristy had some great crafts and games for us. Thank you Kristy so much (for everything)! Later we had a talent show and watched a movie that Johnny did about Lucy. It was awesome! My camera ran out of batteries at the end, but Nicole sang a Hannah Montana Song, Brandan played the guitar, Justyn played his trumpet, Isaac told a very entertaining story, Joshy and Brody played a little basketball, TJ did one of his drama skits, Kylie played us a song on the piano, and the boys sang, and the little girls finished off the night with another Hannah Montana song, in which many of the boys joined in at the end!! What a talented family we have!

Lucy's Baptism and Luncheon

I haven't posted for a while!! Times are busy! But, for journaling purposes, I'll go back and try to fill in a few details. Our Hall Family reunion was tons of fun! We started out the trip with a little camping. The cousins were so excited to see each other, and needless to say there wasn't much sleeping going on that night. I felt really bad because we only had Alyssa in our tent. All the other kids were in their cousin's tents. Our tent was next to Brody, Josh and Colton. They were so funny because they'd sleep for a while, then they'd get up and talk for a while, then they would sleep for a while, then they'd just start talking again! They were just having so much fun! The next day we played at the water park. It was great! Then we headed back to Grandma's house to sleep. The next day we had Phillip's wedding, luncheon and reception. I had some great pictures, but one of my kiddos erased them! But my favorite one was of Lala doing a flip on Lamoreaux's trampoline in a skirt, no less, later to find out that she was also 6 weeks pregnant! Wow! What a feat! The next day we had Lucy's baptism. It was so great! Lucy looked beautiful. The kids had a hard time being reverent because they were so happy to be together! Luckily, there were lots of other kids there too! Then Christie and Darren had an awesome luncheon for us at the park afterward. Grandpa made rootbeer which was a total hit! The boys and men played basketball, and the kids had so much fun together!

Fireworks!

This year was so rainy and cold that I wasn't that jazzed about going to watch the fireworks. But the kids were absolutely set on going, so off we went. We found out about this most awesome place to go. It is a country club and they have pony rides, jumpy things to play on, and cotton candy before the show. Then you can sit on the lawn and watch the fireworks. The most exciting thing about going this year was that My Uncle Jim and Aunt Laurie were visiting, so they came with us! The kids just love them! The boys just follow Jim around- they idolize them. It's the Aunt who took us all around California, and the Uncle that started up their knife and sword collection. I think the kids talked their ears right off! Jim showed them the website where he finds the deals on the knives, and so now the boys are dreaming about what they will purchase with their money. The last I heard, Brody was saving for a certain axe. He plans to hang it on his wall. Then if a robber ever comes into our house he can chop him down! Good plan Brody! Anyway, it was lots of fun visiting with Jim and Laurie and it means a lot to have you travel all this way! We love you!! The last picture is of my Dad. He had his coat zipped way up because it was so cold! Thank you Mom and Dad for always doing fun things with us! We love you!
